I’ve been reading a bunch of predictions for 2006 and most of them interesting. Since the 2006 predictions are already in I figure I might as well get my predictions in for 2007. To early you think? na, the earlier the better… so here I go.
2007 will be known as the “Year of the Wireframe,” let me explain. I would argue that 2005 would be known as the “Year of the Beta,” considering all of the applications which were released in beta, it just makes sense that we dub 2005 with that title. Also, you know you were cool if you got your app out in beta. Continuing this trend, developers will be releasing things even sooner, as web 2.0 continues to grow, it will become apparent a day will make or break you. So with that logic, 2006 will be known as the “Year of the Alpha” and then of course 2007 will be known as the, you guessed it, the “Year of the Wireframe.”
